Lovely Tree

Hulyo 15, 2008

I think that I shall never see / A poem lovely as a tree. / A tree whose hungry mouth is prest / Against the earth’s sweet flowing breast; / A tree that looks at God all day, / And lifts her leafy arms to pray; / A tree that may in Summer wear / A nest of robins in her hair; / Upon whose bosom snow has lain; / Who intimately lives with rain. / Poems are made by fools like me, / But only God can make a tree.

Trees by Joyce Kilmer

I thought of that poem the moment I saw this tree. Isn’t it a beauty, looking tall and proud?

My dad loves taking pictures of the sun. I find this one captivating (mahalin ang sariling atin 😀 ). This is what I miss about home; nature always has a surprise in store for you.

The most beautiful things are really free.

I don’t what this flower is called. I think it’s one of the many species of bromeliads. Red and really pretty. 🙂

Since my initial post was that of sunset, I might as well continue with the theme. And because it’s summer. 😀
